I was testifying at church the other night on something that God had shown me last Saturday. Perhaps it will help and encourage someone here. I know its not easy for a lot of us right now and we really don't know what God is doing but He does.
The last couple of months really haven't been easy for me. I have fought left and right and at times wanted to give up. I had even gone to my pastor one day and said I needed help as I just want to give up. I think I had confessed that in front of the congergation as well(I belong to a closely knitted church and no one judges one for their struggles or what is said)They of course prayed with me. The last two months God has taken me through so much. Not knowing how I was going to pay rent, car insurance state sales tax and so forth. I have had to stay home rather than go diving, see family or anything else. I would leave only to go to my parents once a week and to church in order to save gas. There were times where I had even gone to pastor and asked for food from our food bank as it has been tough. But God has been faithful and I thank Him for those in the church who did push me through--they wouldn't let me give up like I wanted. They made me stay in place and thank God they did. No one really knows the struggles that I have faced but I know its all for a purpose. Our trials are not for us its for someone else. There is someone else who will face the same thing you face and your the person they need but if you give up God will say next. Stay in place. The first month I did complain to God, I was angry, upset, and doubted that God was even there. All partly why I wanted to give up. One tuesday night at our weekly prayer meeting pastor looked at me and pretty much said this is enough your beleiving the lies of the enemy and you must push through and start praising God. You must do it not us. Pastor came over started to pray with me while a couple of other woman came over as well and started to pray. We prayed till I broke through and boy what a change was felt! That same week I sold enough pictures to cover sales tax and car insurance! Now for rent but this time is differnt--I know God will come through in His time. This time praising God through the turbulance and confusion. It throws the enemy off when you praise God in your darkest hour and when you should be crying. This past Saturday God showed me something 15 feet underwater.
Saturday morning I signed up for an inlet clean up a once a year event. Excited I got my scuba gear asembled and ready before all the guys. I was given the ok to jump in and the first thing I noticed is I couldn't see my hand! The visability was horried. I decided to try to go down anyway but a fear struck me as I began to remember I was diving in the Fort Pierce inlet and a well known place for sharks as they follow the boats in. I went back up and gave my report. Went back down came back. Did this several times and almost called off the dive. It was then I felt "no you must face this fear." I went back down. Finally carefuly putting my hand down not knowing when I would hit bottom or what was around me I finally saw the sign of bottom. I continued and finally spotted an iron rod. I held onto that thing as if it would protect and anything that moved was going to get hit that is if I saw it first! I spoted a fishing line and started to take it up. As I was about to put my hand down I noticed a rock fish--something you really don't want to touch. I got the fishing line and rested for just a minuet. I looked around not seeing anything except silt. Here I was at least 15 feet under water in bad visability ALONE. (inlet clean up you are normally left alone with watchers on the boats. Each diver has their own flag in clean ups.) Thats when God began to speak to me.
He showed me that the silt and stir is like confusion and the storms, trials in our lives. We may not know what is going on around us, we may not see the danger that lays right there but He is still there. Psalm 139 came to mind that even at depths of the sea He is there. No matter our circumstance we really have nothing to fear God has us in His sight all the time. Though I couldn't see around me God knew I was in the mess of the inlet. He saw the fish that I almost put my hand on and if I had it would be in the hospital. He protects us, He knows our needs, He knows what we can handle.
No matter where you are in life you CAN"T give up desity is calling you. There is far more for your life than you know. Do you really think that God would bring you to CFNI or where ever your at now, heal you, deliver you, only to dump you? You have to push, don't give in yet. DOn't let the lies of the Devil dwell in your mind and careful of any kind of deception out there. So many are taken by deceptions in todays world. Test everything with the word of God and don't add or take anything from it.
I need you to survive and you need me to survive we are in this togeather though we are miles appart. We are still a part of the family of God. Encourage your brothers and sisters in Christ. When you see one down lift them up you would want the same thing. If your not where you should be with God re evaluate your walk with Him and get back on track--do what it will take. These days aren't easy for any of us but keep pushing. Don't judge your brother or sister by their trials for your trial maybe just around the cornor and just may need that same brother or sister
